With a sporting background that’s a bit all over the shop—dabbling in everything from school sports to cycling teams and even playing National League Handball—you’d think running would have come naturally. Nope! When lockdown hit, I could barely run 5K. But with sheer persistence (and not much knowledge at the time), I cracked it and found myself running 5K every day.
What started as a struggle, quickly became a love affair—not just with running but with the mental clarity and stress relief it provided during such an uncertain time. With my background in sports science, I threw myself into learning why running felt so good and how to train smarter. My first proud milestone? Conquering my first 10K—what a feeling!
Post-lockdown, I jumped into CrossFit, which gave me strength in more ways than one, but running remained my constant. It became my way to explore new places going from one city to another. Then, in 2023, I set myself a challenge: 16K one weekend, then a half marathon the next. Those longer distances were humbling—teaching me patience, pacing, and respect for the run.

The ultimate challenge arrived in September 2023: my first marathon, The London Marathon 2024, which I ran in 3 hours 47 minutes—while still doing CrossFit four times a week! Since then, I’ve taken on trail races, half marathons, and now, my next big challenge: training for my first Half Ironman in June. I train for things that excite me and scare me, pushing my limits while trusting in the science behind it all.
As a Lead Respiratory Physiologist in private healthcare, specialising in lung, exercise, and sleep physiology, I have a deep understanding of how the body works—and how different lifestyles impact training. I believe that training should add to your life, not take away from it. That’s why, as a coach, I take a holistic approach, crafting plans that fit around real lives, real commitments, and real goals.
So, whether you’re chasing your first 5K or tackling 100 miles, let’s go on this journey faster, further, together!
